MAYORAL CANDIDATE,
ALICIA TRAWICK

  • Born & raised in Pensacola

  • Not bought by developers

  • Experience managing multi-million dollar disaster recovery contracts

  • Believes in giving power back to our council representatives and a voice back to the people

  • Will focus on making housing more affordable

Born and raised in Pensacola, Alicia Trawick is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring the city reaches its full potential for all residents. Alicia has dedicated her career to building communities that work for the people who call them home, and her experience and proven leadership make her ready to serve Pensacola and deliver results. For nearly a decade, she has provided advisory and consulting services to local governments, overseeing the responsible management of FEMA grant funding and helping communities across the country navigate complex recovery challenges to build stronger, more prepared neighborhoods. Alicia works with state and local governments to promote sustainable, smart development that balances growth with environmental stewardship. This work has given her a clear understanding of how local decisions impact real lives and how to make government more effective, transparent, and accountable.

Alicia believes our city must strike a better balance by creating a Pensacola that works for local residents by prioritizing the people who live, work, and raise families here, and by preserving the city’s natural and historical beauty for future generations. You shouldn’t have to move out of Pensacola to afford Pensacola. As a city resident, Alicia has experienced firsthand how rising property taxes and skyrocketing home insurance have made the city increasingly unaffordable. The price of rent also continues to rise faster than incomes, placing strain on families trying to make ends meet. She is committed to addressing this crisis and other issues that arise from lack of affordable housing by finding real solutions for people experiencing homelessness, strengthening public safety, and building a city where all residents can live and thrive.

Alicia believes it’s time to upgrade Pensacola’s infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing city. She is committed to improving access to transportation, creating smarter parking solutions, and addressing stormwater flooding. By investing in resilient roads and drainage systems we can keep our city safe, accessible, and prepared for the future.

Alicia supports reforming the current strong mayor form of government, believing Pensacola needs a more balanced system returning to a city manager-council form of government to create a better balance between the mayor and the council. She believes the limited authority of our city council underscores many of the challenges the city faces today.

As Mayor, Alicia will focus on building “The City You Deserve” – a city that truly works for everyone.

“Pensacola needs a governance structure that encourages transparency. We also need a mayor who is not bought by developers.”
